Connecting Passion and Purpose, is the theme for the 2010 Annual Statewide Nonprofit Management Conference. This year, we’ve changed some things:

• Lower registration fee to help you maximize your budget and remember, the earlier you register the more you save.
• A new venue that gives you a new perspective for your conference experience on the peaceful and beautiful grounds of Eagle Ridge Conference Center, located a quick 10 minutes west of Jackson.
• Two days of learning and fun that gives you practical tools and leave you refreshed when you return to the work-a-day world of nonprofit management.
• Special “confidential” after-hours sessions to casually network with your peers (just remember…what happens here, stays here!).

You will enjoy a new mix of workshop sessions designed to help you develop your organization leadership…from the board of directors to staff responsible for day-to-day operations…that bring insights about your future success.

Every nonprofit faces issues of sustainability especially in this economic climate, it can be challenging. Funders ask how you will sustain your operations, board members need to think of long-term financial health, and your stakeholders have stories to share that help funders understand your programs.

Shape.

Your future depends on …you! You will learn about issues that shape your ability to develop effective operating strategies regardless of where you are in the organizational hierarchy. Volunteers, staff, and board members all need to know how to get results from their commitment to serving your mission. Topics about accountability for staff and volunteers, results-based strategies, and financial management will help shape your conference experience.

Partnerships and networking are critical to community awareness. This track will feature a theme of networking with others, creating positive partnerships, and creating your elevator speech for effective sharing of your organization’s mission.
